Crystal Downs Golf Club, 8th hole - pencil on paper

Alister Mackenzie and Perry Maxwell both had hands in developing this masterpiece in the state of Michigan. Ranked 11th in the United States by Golf Digest, the course offers a variety of terrain and unique layout challenges. Here is the 8th hole, a par 5 with a green that is perched atop a natural crest in the land. The reference photo for this drawing is taken just before dusk and the long grass on either side of the fairway very nearly glows.

The drawing was completed with 2B and 6B pencils and measures 9 inches by 6 inches.
