Pebble Beach Golf Links, 7th hole - pencil on paper
A par 3 right on the ocean, the 7th at Pebble Beach is one of the shortest holes that has ever been played in championship golf, but offers golfers a supreme test in control and nerve when the winds whip the coast. This hole measures just 106 yards from the blue tee, yet some players have used mid to long-irons on this hole when facing a stiff headwind.

This was fun to draw and a challenge as I had never put down on paper a large ocean before. The waves and texture of the sea were a bit more difficult then I had anticipated to draw, but I feel the results worked out quite well. Probably the most famous hole on the course, the 7th is a fair test of golf and a beautiful reminder of what views nature can lend while chasing a little white ball around.

This drawing was completed with 2B and 6B pencils and measures 9 inches by 6 inches.
