The Gallery: The Figure

Where I live there are several places that offer figure drawing classes where local artists come together and spend two to three hours doing figure studies. Poses ranging from seconds to about 45 minutes. The long poses offer an extended period to refine proportions, and to render the subject with some detail. It is a must for every artist to connect to the human form from time to time, and a figure study class is the best opportunity for such practice.

With life and its hectic schedule, I have been missing many sessions at the studio. Unfortunately it appears that the near future will yield few chances to sit down and draw, but below are some past efforts of mine in the human figure.
