Winged Foot Country Club, 6th hole - oil on canvas
The U.S. Open was played here in 2006 with the culmination being Phil Mickelson carding a double-bogey on the final hole to miss a playoff with eventual winner Geoff Ogilvy. The course is difficult, with raised greens, challenging putting surfaces, and long par 3's, 4's, and 5's

While this paiting remains a work in progress, the canvas is about 90% complete. The flag floating in mid-air will need a pin at some point, and some of the trees lining the fairway will receive a dab of paint here and there. Otherwise, it is close to being finished.

The painting is done in oils and measures approximately 30 inches by 20 inches.
