Retired Train Engine - color photography
While attending a friend's wedding, the chance for some photographs of the bride and groom were top of mind, but right next to the reception hall was a train yard with this very old and weathered engine sitting far away from the tracks. Cracked paint, broken glass, and just the essence of the modern age in disrepair was too good to pass up. I especially enjoy the missing parts of the numbers and what could only be the last conductor's name hand-painted below. It lends a personal touch to a rather impersonal, massive machine.
